What wonderful photos of joyous dogs playing in the water. You're so lucky, lucky, lucky to live near a beach where you can take your dogs!!!!

Smile Thanks we had a lot of fun.

Although we live only 1/2 mile from Saint Clair River, the current is too strong and I wouldn't dare let them swim - I am afraid they might be washed downstream.

On this day we drove for about one hour to Lake Saint Clair, where a small area of the beach was open for dogs for "Bark at the Park" animal rescue fundraiser event. We took an advantage of it and let the pups have fun.

Driving home they were so pooped they slept all the way home

I guess tired pups are happy pups, right??? Smile

Sounds wonderful. In the Denver Metro wide area, different municipalities are doing Dog Swimming Pool days as a last day for the pools. Health Dept. regs require that they completely drain the pools after non-human animals have been in the water, and since they have to drain the pools after summer usage, they're making their very last day a day for dogs. A nice idea. :-)

That sounds like a great idea.
I'd better check if Michigan has something like that too.
I myself would much prefer pool any day!
