Thanks!

I really need to fatten Snowy up a bit. Although she is still a growing puppy, I think some judges disfavored her because you could see all her ribs when she turned. The puppy that beat Snowy was much older than her (Snowy is almost 7 months and the winning puppy was 11 months old) and looked a lot fuller. As far as structure and gait, everyone thought Snowy was the best in her class.

I also showed a friend of mine's 4 months old puppy in Novice puppy class. Apparently she hadn't had a lot of socialization . When the judge examined her, she sort of freaked. She peed all over my leg! Laughing Those pups... you gotta love them. LOL

Snowy and I had another awesome weekend.

She won best Female and went against a Grand champion male for BOB.
The judge gave it to the grand champion but she said "He gets it today - but in 2-3 years this little girl will KICK A__!" (Her exact word)

I knew she still had a lot of maturing to do - but it is so nice to hear an encouragement from the judge.

Snowy needs a couple of more win to get her CH title!

Also I was asked to show a beautiful B&T female. We took BOB and I showed her in Group.

Over all I showed 3 dogs in 4 shows and lost 2 lbs. That was the highlight of my weekend! lol!

Smile
I ordered the official photo, so I will post it as soon as I get it!

I must tell you this show had some crazy moments!

Snowy's fur-brother Ramsey won the best male and earned enough points to move up to the Champion class. So his owner ended up having 2 dogs in the champion class - Ramsey and Kyla.

So she asked me if I could show Kyla. I said "sure" I mean, how hard could it be? I had seen Kyla in the show ring. She is very elegant… a seasoned veteran show dog. I thought this would be a piece of cake……

Well, everything was fine until we got in the ring. Then Kyla realized her "mom" was showing Ramsey, not her. When we were all running she ran full speed, trying to catch up to her mom, almost to the point of dragging me. Once we stopped for the judge's examination, she started whining and barking at her mom like "hey, what's up with that? Why aren't you showing ME?" She squirmed so much that her collar came off somehow. I was trying to stack the squirming dog, and suddenly I am staring at the leash hook dangling in front of me..without a dog on the end of it! I looked up... and to my surprise, I saw Kyla running around in circles around her mom and Ramsey. I could hear audience going nuts, laughing and clapping. Fueled by all this commotion, Kyla was barking like a mad dog and Ramsey decided to join in the fun and started barking too.

By the time Kyla's mom and I got her settled down and leashed again, even the judge was laughing. Luckily for us the madame judge had a sense of humor!

...Needless to say neither Ramsey nor Kyla won the champion class..... tongue

We went to a AWSA/WSCC WS Speciality show in Romulus, MI over the weekend.
Snowy did ok - she came in 2nd in one of the shows.

But my 3 year old boy handled Snowy for a Peewee Class Junior Handler and they did great!

This is a pciture of my kids with Mandame Judge, showing off their peeweee trophies. The skinny little pup is my Snowy and the huge one is CH Royal Lord Zeus, bred/owned by Jean Reeves. Jean let my daughter handle Zeus for the Peewee handler. He is so big but he is a gentle giant!!!!

You can tell they had lots of fun - and they were so proud of themselves.

I must say the picture of Aidan (my 3 year old) and Snowy is my favorite and I made it my wallpaper.

He looked so confident with Snowy and Snowy obeyed his command even she could easily break away from him. I was proud of them both.

After the show, my peewees were getting sleepy (it was passed their nap time! LOL) so my hubby took them home. On the way home in the car, Aidan was sitting in his car seat still holding his trophy carefully.

My hubby told him that he was proud of him. Aidan thought for a moment and said to his dad: "Daddy....do you think Grandpa is proud of me?"

It almost made his dad choke up. My hubby's dad (Aidan's grandpa of course) passed away last year. Grandpa and Aidan had a very strong bond and Aidan, even he was only 2 1/2 years old, took his passing very hard.

That night Aidan put his trophy next to grandpa's picture, so grandpa could "see it".

Oh, my what a wonderful story ... out of the mouths of babes. Aidan obviously loved his grandpa very, very much for him to have even had that thought. He's a darling child ... I love the picture where he's handling Snowy. That is just priceless.

I just love that about Grampa! You have a wonderful boy! I haven't been on much as my grandkids have been here most of the month. 4 year old Natalie, and 2 year old Riley. I think that I have lost 10 pounds!!
They went shopping today, so I weeded gardens gave Rex a longer walk then we have been doing, and now, I thought that while I have a few more minutes before they come home, I would check some forums!
My daughter has to remind me how to upload pictures from the digital, then I can show you my babies, but alas, they are returning to Ohio, on Saturday, I will surely miss them.

Awww ... sounds like you've been having a WONDERFUL time, speaking of which (time, that is), it certainly does go by fast lately. Seems like it was just the beginning of summer and here it is Labor Day Weekend almost. Yikes. They've already got Halloween stuff in the stores. Sheesh!
