This dog just turned 3 years old last month but she already had 3 litters! And she had the last 2 litters back to back! (18 October 07 then 12 May 08 not even 7 months apart!)

I don't know anything about Poms and I heard small breeds mature faster than larger breeds, but still... it can't be good for her to have babies so soon and so often.

The owner (appears to be a young girl) seems to care for the dog but apparently she is ignorant of the health risks of overbreeding and her parents don't seem to care.

This is so sad.

That is sad.

That's means that she was bred one year before she was mature enough. I'd be willing to bet that she hasn't had health tests done either.
Beautiful dog and I'm sure a great pet, but she most definitely doesn't fit her breed standard well enough to be bred.
I wonder if the puppies are sold with a spay/neuter contract? Probably not.
Poor dog being used for a puppy machine...

I get the urge to write to her and say something, but I don't want to upset her. After all she probably doesn't have any control over it.

Most likely her parents are the one who are trying to make money off of this poor little puppy.

I once paw-mailed someone on Dogster who had bred their mixed breed dog 3 times. The age said 3, but the owner said that the dog was actually 5 years old.
She showed me the contract that the customers have to agree to, and told me a little about herself and her breeding practices. I must admit, I was impressed with her apparent honesty and she did do most things the right way as far as I can tell.

Well I doubt this puppy's owner has any contract.

This dog had puppies on March 07, October 07 and May 08! Poor thing will be bred to death! She wrote in her diary that they got this dog to "replace a female Pom that died" I am not surprised other femal Pom died becasue it was bred to death....
