Other animals you love!

Along with Zero, I also have a grey cat named Ziggy who I also found as a stray (I don't know much about cat breeds, but I'm assuming he's just a mix)


I also have two hermit crabs, I got them back in 2000 and they are awesome little things. They can live up to 50 years! I sure hope mine live a long life

And finally, I have a thing for Bettas...they are so easy to care for and are such awesome fish! I have experience with them for quite a few years and have owned about a dozen in that time. Right now I have a total of four, two males (in seperate tanks of course) and two females that share a tank with a little chinese algae eater.

I had a couple of Bettas. Must not have had a thing for them though. Even though I took care of them they died after a few months. Maybe buying fish from a store (Wal-Mart) is bad too...

Yes, buying them from wal-mart could be why.

All of my bettas have lived pretty long lives: 3-4 years. I'm a sophomore in college and I still have one of my males that was given to me by a friend when we were in High school

Are they hard to look after?

Not really, though if they get i'll it can be diffecult to get them back up to health and initially they can be expensive but I really like looking after them! You just have to keep the temperatures right and get their nutrition correct!

wow! That Gecko is awesome! I have seen those several times in pet stores around here, also my sister in law used to have one. He lived over 10 years!

And to answer your question Amanda, I always get mine from just regular pet stores. They usually get healthier ones from good fish breeders other than a place like wal mart.

Just look them over before you buy one, check them for ick, and other diseases (just make sure they are swimming healthy, and have good color to them- dull colors can mean they aren't healthy)

In addition to my 2 GSD's, Chaos and Bailey, I have Lexy, a pit bull terrier, Kaya, a blue & gold macaw, and Peaches, a molluccan cockatoo. I am also a rehabber so right now I have 4 baby raccoons, and 2 squirrels.

Oh, really cute animals! My friend found an injured baby squirrel once. They had to keep him inside and bottle-feed him. He died after a few days though.
